The Regular meeting of the Sidney Town Board was called to order by the Eric Wilson Town Supervisor at 7:00 p.m. April 12, 2023, in the boardroom at 44 Grand Street, Sidney. Prior to the meeting, bills were audited by the Board.

HIGHWAY– Highway Superintendent James Roberts: Mr. Roberts asked the board for a motion to move $65,890.00 from the American Rescues Plan to purchase a truck. Supervisor Wilson expressed concern that the amount was too high, as there could be other unforeseen expenses. Mr. Roberts amended the request and asked for $ 30,000. Mr. Selleck motioned to accept 30,000.00 to be transferred into Mr. Roberts account and it was seconded by Mr. Heath and carried. AYES: E. Wilson, B. Hunt, P. Muratore. NAYES: None
Mowing Bids were opened:

Town of Sidney Clean up Days: Thursday May 4th, Friday May 5th, and Saturday May 6th! Need to drop off items at the Town Garage.
SUPERVISOR– Eric Wilson: Nothing to report.
BOOKKEEPER– Karen Kropp: Nothing to report.
TOWN CLERK– Sheila Paul: Heading into the last month on Taxes. May 1st is the last day to pay.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Highway-Selleck & Wilson: Mr. Selleck presented Mr. Roberts with a plaque and thanked him for his years of service.
Mr. Selleck has inspected the highway trucks and many of them are old and will need to be replaced . The highway department has spent $ 180,000 in repairs over the past five years.
Hospital– Hunt/ Wilson: Nate Ouimet stated that the roof of the hospital needs repairs, as well as the roof on the Town Building located at 44 Grand Street. Mr. Ouimet also commented a that the electric bill is high
Insurance–Heath / Hunt: Sometime in May or June, a risk management proposal- should be put together to put out for bids before the end of the year.
Zoning & Planning– Muratore/ Selleck: Looking at having a committee meeting to discuss overlay and schedule a public meeting.
East Sidney Lake– Heath/ Selleck Clean up park and had several trees taken down. Getting ready to open on May 4th.
Finance-Muratore/ Wilson: All is good. T-bills are doing well.
IT– Hunt/ Muratore: Mr. Muratore Met with Edmunds gov and walked through the building and cleaned up some wires.
DCO liaison– Heath: Nothing to report.
At 7:38 p. m. Mr. Wilson motion for an Executive Session to discuss hospital lease and personnel and seconded by Mr. Heath and carried. AYES: F. Selleck, B. Hunt, P. Muratore. NAYES: None
